Maja Malou Lyse has been selected to represent Denmark 2026 in the Venice Biennale, to participate in the event of the youngest artist in Denmark. Appointed by the Danish Art Foundation Project Support Committee, a 31-year-old artist is known for its digital art, the rights of women’s sex and media for champions.
“I think it’s amazing and absolute to be replaced in Venice Biennale at the Venice Biennale, a youngest artist selected for a national pavilion,” said Galleri in a statement given by Wallner, who represents. “Given a unique opportunity, it’s very surreal, and I appreciate the Commission has chosen to pass a gown for me. I am willing to give the biennial sexual appeal.”
Born in 1993, Lys received his MFA MFA in 2022. Its work includes multiple disciplines, including installation, performance, video and text. In particular, the artist often pays for visual stimuli in daily life, such as TV, social media, billboards and tablular, desire and power issues.
Lyse has carried out solo exhibitions in Odensko, Denmark, Copenhagen and Brands Museum. His work has been visible elsewhere in Denmark in the Aros Aarhus Art Museum and Kunsthal Charlottenborg. Meanwhile, his performances are organized in Tate Modern in London and Moderna Museum Stockholm. From 2018 to 2019, “Sex Mag Maja” (Maja Sex) (sex Maja), TV series in a Danish television, where he studied issues of sexuality and social norms.
