Presentation of the Van Gogh Museum, Director Emile Becker and Emile Gorderk, focuses on the painting of Hundreds of Kiefer’s Households, in the painting to be replaced by the Museum shows, after attracting insects. In 1963, Kiefer, for the first trip outside Germany, won the travel scholarship to visit Van Ongh and work. He began in the south of Zundert, Vincent was born in the southern town, and later continued to Antwerp, Borinage, Paris, Avers-sur-Oise, Arles and Saint-Rémy-de-Provence coal mining. Looking back, Kiefer comments “Against what can be expected from a teenager, I wasn’t too interested in Van Gogh’s work or his unfortunate life.” He was astonished about Van Gogh’s “Rational structure, building his confidence in his paintings, slipping more and more from his control.” It was art, not the story, who caught his interest.
The inspiration never left. In 1995 Kiefer was held The sun is not lost (SCOUND SCOUND), it is almost five meters high, created with paintings and sunflower seeds. Stretched flower heads bleach the towers on a leaf leaf, replacing Kiefer himself. The seeds are showered, almost like the flies that pass over the body. Although Kiefer has dark sunflower, almost no different van gogh blossoms, the imagination of flowers artists has regulated two.

Kiefer raised the sunflower, then collected seeds. But the seeds The sun is not lost It caused a concern for the Conservatives of the Museum Van Gogh, which attracted insects. At the last minute Kiefer replaced with artificial articles (although the exhibition caption records as “sunflower seeds”.
After the current exhibition has been planned, Kiefer returned to the topics of Kiefer van Gogh, creating many magnificent pieces of the mixed media. At O Night stalksPaul Celan used the title from a poem, gold leaf, straw, clay, steel and plaster, along with more common paintings. Straw van Gogh connects late wheat fields and specifically Wheat pitches with crows (1890 July).

Kiefer believes that Van Gogh has painted Wheat pitches with crows In front of Avers’s landscape, this is just the starting point of the Netherlands. “What does he imagine?” He asks. “It’s not a romantic memoir of a particular summer day. The painting is almost abstract. What remains almost completely disappeared memory.”

It is the most dramatic of the last job Night starInspired in June 1889 at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. It is a broad composition, almost eight feet wide, which had to be divided into three panels, transported to Kiefer’s studio outside Paris. Then the work was too large for the museum’s handling lift, so it appears in the lower gallery of the exhibition. Kiefer again used a straw stuck to the canvas Van Gogh caught the painting to suggest whitewash skies, becoming a sculpture work.
For Van Gogh Lovers, the Amsterdam exhibition also includes seven paintings from the Dutch master of the Museum’s Own Museum, plus Augustine Roulin (Lullaby) (February 1889) From Stedelijk, four drafts and lyrics rarely draft.
