What is your creative process like?
I often find myself observing my surroundings, including both nature and man-made objects, particularly architecture. However, I am most fascinated by the people in our lives. While I sometimes paint what I see as is, I usually go through several steps before creating my artwork. The objects including people I observe connect to various ideas, and these concepts evolve into themes that become the essence of my artistic topics.
Do any personal experiences shape your work?
Personal relationships greatly influence our emotional well-being. Emotions play a vital role in my self-expression, motivating me to communicate with myself. Additionally, creating art helps me analyze and understand my feelings and perspective on life. This artistic process serves as a therapeutic outlet, especially during challenging times. Art acts as a catalyst in my life.
What challenges do you face as an artist?
Creating art has given me a sacred space and time to discover myself and truly feel alive.
However, the process of making art and sharing it with the public differs significantly from
traditional jobs, presenting a dilemma that is challenging to navigate. Although I have created art sporadically, I have always wished to pursue it full-time. However, turning my art into a commodity that generates a steady income is a challenge.
What do you want people to feel when they see your art?
I want my art to evoke a sense of joy in viewers, enabling them to appreciate its forms, colors, and beauty. If they interpret the art and discover deeper meanings within it, I will be grateful and inspired by their insights.
