Stormie Steele’s artistic journey is one of introspection, transformation, and spiritual depth. A self-taught artist, she embraces the imperfections of life and channels them into her work, creating pieces that serve as both visual and philosophical explorations. Her creative process is rooted in surrender, allowing her to remain open and receptive to what emerges on the canvas. Whether through her paintings, writing, or sound healing sessions, Stormie’s art reflects the movement of life—its uncertainties, its challenges, and the hidden rewards found along the way. Beyond aesthetics, she hopes her work fosters a sense of autonomy and authenticity in those who experience it, inviting them to interpret and engage with it on a deeply personal level.

Here is the interview with the artist.

    1. What is your creative process like?
Stormie: My creative process is usually one of surrender. In other words, I am intentionally open—vulnerable,
quiet (no music) and meditative with an expectation of the invisible becoming visible on the canvas.
This process aids my creative progress.
    2. Do any personal experiences shape your work?
Stormie: I love this question. My life shapes my work—from certainty to the sometimes uncertainty of it all, Storm’s FineArt illustrates alignment with my journey. Whether it’s the art of writing, speaking, facilitating sound healing sessions or working the canvas. Art has a way of uprooting hidden messages and creating life in unexpected spaces.
    3. What challenges do you face as an artist?
Stormie: Moving Storm’s FineArt can be challenging. While I do participate in solo/group exhibitions (sometimes popups) selling art is a rhythm in itself. It requires much faith and patience. Despite challenges, I continue to create—it’s a necessary aspect of my continuing development.
    4. What do you want people to feel when they see your art?
Stormie: I aspire to inspire a visual form of autonomy and authenticity (sounds abstract). I hope viewers of Storm’s FineArt can feel or capture a glimpse of that. I find it engaging when people spontaneously verbalize their insights and interpretations when viewing my works. It instantly inspires an in the moment collaboration!

Stormie Steele’s art is an ongoing conversation between life’s uncertainties and its transformative potential. Through her intuitive approach to creation, she offers a visual and emotional space where viewers can connect, reflect, and find meaning in their own journeys. Her work encourages dialogue, interpretation, and personal exploration—an experience that continues to evolve, much like life itself.
