Clint Anthony’s work is rooted in feeling. A visual artist specializing in abstract and modern design, he uses color and texture as a direct line to emotional expression. From 1996 to 2017, Clint immersed himself in the creative energy of New York City—studying at The Lee Strasberg Theatre, developing his visual art at The Art Studio NYC, and curating exhibitions at The Gershwin Hotel. His time in New York, filled with collaboration and discovery, shaped the foundation of his artistic voice. In 2017, Clint returned to Australia. Completing a degree from The Interior Design Institute Australia in 2023, he continued refining his approach. Each of Clint’s artworks is a reflection of the moment it was made—an emotional imprint captured in color, texture, and movement. In this interview, Clint shares how travel, life challenges, and a commitment to openness continue to shape the soul of his practice.

    Here is the artist’s interview.

What is your creative process like?
I work solely with color, color therapy (on emotion) and texture (on design) through Emotional Expression. Each piece is carefully created with a sense of Imagination of what I was feeling at that moment. Each piece of art is unique and bold.

Do any personal experience shape your work?
Yes! As I work with color through emotion every art piece has what I was feeling at that particular time. I am also inspired by travelling and other artist also inspire me. New York City is where I was captivated by the artworld and I still am.
Travelling to Italy also gave inspiration and creativity and understanding, is the beauty of the Renaissance art works and philosophy.

What Challenges do you face as an Artist?
My Philosophy is work with an OpenMind and open heart. My challenges are with being me and life. Challenges are part of everyone’s life! You go through them and hopefully you are all good when you come out the other end and maybe learn something from that.
Be kind to yourself there is a process to everything.

What do you want people to feel when they see your Art?A sense of wonder! I want the viewer to transcend their senses through color and texture, connecting their own feelings, that is why each art piece is unique. I want to connect the human spirit and potentially leading to a deeper understanding of ourselves and the world around us. That is why Art is Transcending, always has being and always will.

Clint Anthony’s art is about more than what meets the eye—it’s about what stirs beneath the surface. Guided by a belief in emotional honesty and the power of color, his abstract works are invitations to pause, reflect, and reconnect. His journey from New York to Australia, from stage to canvas, is woven into each piece he creates. Through bold texture and feeling-driven design, Clint encourages viewers to transcend the visual and step into their own sense of wonder. His work reminds us that art, at its best, is a conversation—one that continues long after the viewing ends.
