The extensive collection of Cuban philanthropist and art collector Rosa de la Cruz will be sold in a series of auctions beginning this May at an evening sale in New York.
De la Cruz, who died last month at age 81, was instrumental in Miami’s art scene. Together with her husband Carlos, she opened a 30,000-square-foot museum in Miami to display their contemporary art collection, which includes 1,000 works.
