Silas Munro Designer and multidisciplinary artist presents its constant final iteration Black grids Project with exhibition How can the grid deal with a confusing world?From April 12, in Hartford Art School at Joseloff Gallery.
Munro 2024-25 Georgette and Richard Koopman is visual artistic chair in the design of visual chairs. Koopman’s chair is an annual appointment for visiting visits to teach artists who rotates through each discipline in Hartford Art. During Munro’s tenure, it has given course design courses in the design of the user interface that embedges in African trials within the history of graphic design.
This pedagogical approach is reported to the continuous project of Munro, Black gridsWhat browses as a series of grids with deep links to the Uganda heritage of Uganda. Through video work, unfortunately, tapestries, collage and sculpture, Munro creates models that integrate networks with visual references to its identity and families.
Munro has used his time at Hartford University to study connections between his work and Sol Lewitt, Hartford has celebrated the conceptual artist born, for geometric grain of large-scale wall. For How can the grid deal with a confusing world?Munro, which has created fractal line models, that is, the Fractal Line model combines with a photograph of his grandparents with Sol Lewitt along with the college wall drawing.
